30/29: Happy Leap!

Happy Leap Day!
Jump for joy! It's a hump leap day! I went to a wonderful networking event hosted by I am Logan Square last night. They are a non-profit organization that promotes and increases awareness of the arts while enhancing cultural development in Chicago's vibrant Logan Square neighborhood. You can learn more about them here. I'll definitely be attending their events in the future, since I met so many lovely people last night.

The Oscars

I normally don't write about award shows, but for some reason this one stuck out to me. There was a serious lack of jaw dropping dresses this year. It was kinda hard to pick at top 2, though my botom 2 seem pretty obvious.

Top 2:
Octavia Spencer and Guiliana Rancic
The theme of the night was Old Hollywood and I think these two gals nailed it.

Bottom 2:
Sandra Bullock and Jennifer Lopez
I don't even know where to start. Sandra, I love you and think your hilarious, but this dress was a serious joke. I didn't like the fit, and the back just reminded me of that backwards Dior suit Celine Dion wore a few years back. I am really not a fan of cut out sleeves to begin with, but on a dress? For the Oscars? Someone from the block should have warned Jenny about it.

Other dresses to be noted:

Emma Stone: The first thing out of my mouth when I saw Emma Stone's dress was Nicole Kidman? It really is a lovely dress- but too similar to Nicoles to make it stand out. Seen it before. =(

Michelle Williams: I think she came up with a great mix between Old and New Hollywood, though there really wasn't a name for the color of the dress she was wearing, I think she knocked it out of the park.

30/24: Don't go Outside!

It was insanely cold and windy out today. I should not have attempted shooting outside. I was so paranoid a gust of wind was going to come and blow my camera over that I couldn't concentrate. Oh well. Take a look at this beautiful bow my little brother bought me from Hunter Gatherer. What a sweetheart! You can view their beautiful hand made bows on Etsy. Gotta run to rehearsal. Have a great night, and a drink for me!

30/23: Burberry Fields

Sorry to be so quick all the time! Rehearsals, rehearsals, rehearsals!
I love this jacket! My good friend Piper found it thrifting one day and thought it was very "me". Well she was right. It also reminds me of the new Burberry line. Have you seen it yet? If not - take a look. The last 4 pictures are my favorite! I think this whole outfit is somewhat Burberry inspired. Hope you like it! Have a great night!

30/22: Sparkle in the Day

This will be short and sweet since I am battling a bad headache. Eight days left of my 30/30 challenge. Woot!! I had a serious urge to look at tan and cream combinations on Pinterest when I was at work today, not even thinking that those were the colors I was wearing! Any combos that you are craving lately?
