I'm not quite sure where all my time has gone lately. It has sort of fluttered over me and I feel I have nothing to show for it. I've been avoiding doing outfit shots this week, not sure why. I am packing for Maryland tonight, so I figured it was a good opportunity to get some shots done. I can't wait for our road trip. Jon and I are going to Maryland for the 4th of July. I feel like I haven't left the city but a handful of times since I moved here 4 years ago. It will be nice to leave town and go somewhere new for a bit.
Sometimes I think too hard about shots...

I will be gone about a week, and have loads to post once I do! Till then...

Michelle Williams

I am a girl that can't decide how to keep her hair. I am always changing styles and parts. Some times it's curly, sometimes its straight, short or long. Always changing. I wish I had hair that just looked good with whatever I did with it, like Michelle Williams. This girl can't go wrong. She makes me want to cut all my hair off. Then I remember the last time I did that...big mistake. Here are a few of Michelle's looks that I love!
There is a beautiful photo shoot and interview of her on Fashion Copious. Again showing off her great hair and impeccable style.

This November she'll be playing the ultimate blond, Marilyn Monroe, in the movie "My Week with Marilyn". No trailers yet, but it supposedly takes place during 1 week in the stars life, around the time she was married to Arthur Miller. I always thought she belonged with DiMaggio. I really think if she didn't O.D. they would have gotten back together.

Fashion Beauty Friend Friday

Happy Friday!
I am super excited to be participating in the Fashion Beauty Friend Friday for the first time!

1. Since you began blogging do you notice a change in the types of things you gravitate towards while shopping?

Yes. I think I was always scared of having too much of one thing. Too many florals, too many brown shoes, too many gold bracelets. Now, I believe in more the merrier! So I am SUPER attracted to Florals, Lace, and Wedges now. Well now that I know it is OK.

2. Do you find, as a fashion blogger, that you dress differently from your family and friends? Do they comment on that?

From my family, yes, we are t-shirt and jeans people. From my friends, yes as well. I think I like to dress up more now. I don't want to just throw on a shirt and pants, I want to be able to feel what I am wearing.

3. What’s the weirdest fashion that you secretly like, even if you
aren’t bold enough to wear it?

I don't think it's weird, but I like "bling" a lot. People that can drown themselves in jewlery blow my mind. I don't like the way it looks on me, I'm kind of a minimilust.

4. Looking at current trends – what would you like to try but need to build up the courage to do?

Crop Tops. I love the look of high wasted pants and crop tops, but I think my mid section is still hiding from the winter. I need to play the "I'm comin' out song, and get it over with!
5. Toot someone’s horn – what fashion blogger out there inspires you with her bold fashion choices?

Tieka from Selective Potential. I think I've mentioned her 4 times on my blog already and I've been up and running less then 3 months? I lover her and her fearless florals. Never. Enough. Floral!

Don't forget to sop by ModlyChic to read all the other FBFF answers of the week!

Bada Bing, Bada Bang!

I'm in trouble again. I want bangs. SUPER. BLUNT. BANGS. They always seem to look ok, but I never handle the up keep all that well. Maybe now I can. Maybe this is the moment. Maybe I am finally dedicated. We'll see.

I blame this want on other bloggers. So many other girls out there have great bangs. I am discovering this to be a trend. All my favorite bloggers have blunt bangs...you know. The "Zooey" look. Here are a few that I like for the moment.

La Belle Personne
I'm at the point where I am willing to buy a wig and just see what happens for a few days. Any thoughts?

Goodbye 26

Today is my birthday. Today I turn 27, and am in no way "squeamish" about giving away my age. I'll always look like I am 12, and I came to terms with that along time ago. So on my first day of 27, I figured I'd reflect on 26 things that have affected me over the last 26 years. In no particular order:

1 I can sing a Rainbow: This is what my mom sang to me when I was a kid to put me to sleep. How cool was she??
2 mustaches
( My Favorite: http://cuteroulette.com/#/videos/view/148)
4 My Uke
5 Oscar Levant
6 Urban Outfitters
7 Being Shy
8 Walkin' on Sunshine: High Fidelity
9 Soccer
10 Donald O'Connor
12 Florida
13 Musical Theater
15 Jane Austen
16 Lumber Jack
17 William Fitzsimmons
18 Chairs
19 Jonathan Safran Foer
20 Etta James and Billie Holiday
21 Wes Anderson
22 Mansfield Park
24 Lincoln Square/ Chicago
25 This guy:
26 Black Eyed Dog:
I suppose I could sit here and explain all of them to you, but those are more personal conversations, then tags. I'm always here to chat, just leave a message! Oh, and yes, Happy Birthday to Me!

Have I ever mentioned that I work at Groupon? No? How silly of me. I work at Groupon. It is perhaps the best job I will ever have, not because of the work I do, but because of the people I work with. Some of the most diverse, creative, and just overall awesome people. Around Christmas last year I though it'd be really silly to create a male calendar for the team I was on. What's a better gift then a calendar of the men you work with in slightly silly poses? Nothing. Well I took the pictures, but never found a good program to use them with. Seems like a shame not to share the awesomeness, so I'll do it here. Enjoy!
