Collage it!

I wanted to thank you guys for some of the lovely comments on my FFBF Dream Job post. Since some of you requested to see my work, I've decided to put some of my pieces up. I hope you enjoy them.
I am pretty obsessed with nature, it seems to be the main theme in all of my work. Something about the way wood looks really gets to me. Anyways, this is a "living" piece in my living room. It's always growing and changing with me. There is a lot of who I am up there.

This is a recycled piece. It's a tea light holder that I absolutely hated. I found an advertisement with colors that I adore, ripped it up and pieced them back together. Now it glows soft pinks and yellows when you light it.
This is my baby, my uke. I wanted to personalize her in someway, but didn't want to do anything pricy. I was looking thru Vogue one day and came across this georgous photo shoot, very 60's Hitchcock. Then a couple pages later found the "unbearable lightness" heading. Seemed like fate to me. Before I had the chance to add it to my uke the picture got slightly water logged due to a rogue radiator. If anything, it helped by wrinkling and aging the picture. It's one of those things I look at and go "Everything just fell into place with this one."
This is my attempt at a "Mustache Tree". Vintage photos of fine outstanding men with glorious facial hair from the Penn Dutchman, and some strategically placed tree branches. Le Sigh.
This last piece was the hardest to shoot. It is the entry way into my apartment. I have vintage keys hanging from my ceiling on red string. The idea came from these two things:
This lovely photo by Matt Chaboud for Strange Tree Groups production of The Mysterious Elephant and...

The music video for "If You would come back Home" by William Fitzsimmons. Enough said.

Well I hope you enjoy my work. Thanks for stopping by!
❤❤
