Into the woods

Happy New Year! Please excuse my absence once again. I promise to be back on track soon ( the internet man is coming today!). The weather here in Chicago has been amazing lately. Perfect long walk weather. Absolutely no snow. So in honor of that I went searching for some woods.

And what should every proper lady carry with her at all times to wipe her brow or perhaps flag down a potential suitor? A lovely hand embroidered hankie! I will be on the hunt for these all winter. Perfect for the sniffles, elegantly crafted, and good for the environment.

Reduce, Reuse, and walk in the woods.

Hope you all had a wonderful Holiday Weekend! Over the break I watch Wild Hearts Can't be Broken. I remember loving the movie when I was a kid. But now that I'm older, I find that I really like Sonora's, Gabrielle Anwar, wardrobe. I love her henley's/tanks/ blouses paired with high waisted riding pants, for the time a masculine look, but there is something really feminine about the color combinations and accessories they use on her. I like it to the point that I've been looking up riding trouser etsy, and am considering buying a pair! Has a movie heroine ever inspired you to go out and purchase a particular look?

This week I plan on styling outfits based off photos found on the interweb. I'm calling it my Outphoto project.

I came across this lovely photo by a young Brit named Tom Cops. Please, please, please check out his site. Not only is he a brillant photographer, but a fellow collage artist as well. I am very much in love with his portraits of Musicians and his sketchbook "How to Grow".
